The Details
After several meetings with our leaders and members, we have come up with a plan to address our most urgent needs, while also preparing for future growth. This addition will accomplish the following 4 goals:
1. Provide a multipurpose classroom for children's ministry and other Bible studies.
In the above floor plan, the room labeled "NURSERY" is our only current nursery/classroom. As you can see, it is quite small and on some days we are forced to cancel children's church and leave this available as a nursery only. The new addition prioritizes a large classroom that will enable us to provide more children's ministries and reach more young families in our community.
2. Provide an entryway that can accommodate more people.
Our current entryway is always quite crowded on Sunday mornings and can be overwhelming for first time visitors. The new addition will have an open entryway that is warm and welcoming for guests.
3. Provide a multipurpose office.
We currently don't have any office space in our building. Because of this, a table is set up in the sanctuary during the week for counseling and other meetings. The new addition will provide a new multipurpose office space for pastoral ministry, meetings, and other office needs.
4. Put us in a position to add a Phase 2 if needed.
If the Lord continues to grow our church, this addition puts us in a position to add a Phase 2 in the future. In Phase 2, we could potentially add a new sanctuary and convert our current sanctuary into a fellowship hall and kitchen.
